Wedding

Our wedding will be on Saturday 1st April 2006 in York. The event will be smallish but formal, and hopefully one to remember!

Venue

The ceremony and reception will be held at the National Railway Museum, which is located on Leeman Road and is within walking distance of the Railway station, if you are travelling to York by train. There is also parking available if you are driving.

The ceremony will be at 4pm, it will be a civil ceremony which is a slight disappointment, but on the plus side no one will have to listen to Shona blasting out the hymns! Edward will be singing his own version of whatever he feels like so other children would be most welcome. There will be an evening reception, also within the museum building. As the museum will be open, there will be time for photographs amongst the exhibits.

Attire
Formal.

Accomodation

There is ample accomodation in York centerally to suit any budget. Try www.expedia.co.uk for some bargains. We will be staying at the Royal York Hotel, you are welcome to join us, but it is expensive owing to having recently been modernised.

Childcare

The Royal York Hotel provide cots and bedding for children. We are considering arranging for a child minder to sit with Edward later in the evening, if anyone else wants to arrange anything like this so that they can boogie. We haven't definately decided if we will do this yet.

Wedding List
We will not be having a wedding list and there is no need to buy us anything at all. However, if you absolutely insist, shop vouchers would be lovely.
